Age

Age, Along A.A., - upper Miocene-middle Pliocene, Along G.Yu. Alferov et al. (61), - upper Miocene. Corresponds to the saline suite A1 of N.P. Vasilykovsky (126), who considered it Oligocene. V.I. Popov et al. (166) attributed the saline deposits to the lower Miocene. Along I.V. Plechenco et al. (347; 444), - middle-upper Miocene. Under the name Aksukon Fm I.V. Plechenco et al. (347) distinguished overlying lacustrine gypsiferous deposits (see Bahmaltepin Fm). Therefore, the Aksuykon Fm of I.V. Plechenco (444) is not recommended for use. Along B.I. Pinhasov, the saline deposits of Fergana correspond to the lower part of the section of the lacustrine gray salt-gypsum (evaporite) formation of the Middle Tien Shan series and are conditionally attributed to the upper Miocene-lower Pliocene (see Middle Tien Shan series). Accepted in the Chatkal-Kuramin Gr of sheets, m-ba 1:50000, 1998.
